The Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas held their April meeting on April 11 in Stephenville. The program was “Texas Music” presented by the Stephenville Music Club led by club president Kelly Nance.
VETERANS, FRIENDS- Forty-eight years ago, Betty Crank, left, was supposed to be on a plane bringing children from Vietnam to the United States as part of Operation Baby Lift. At the last minute, she was replaced on the flight, which crashed, killing 120. She received awards for her service, but they ended up in the possession of Hamilton’s Kay Schooler, right. Schooler returned them to her friend last week when she visited Hamilton.
