Hamilton County Museum’s Texas Christmas Ornaments for 2025 are in and won’t last long, so get yours soon. They are available at Hamilton Floral and at the museum.

Monday, Oct. 7, is the last day to register to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election.

Something has been on my heart, so this column and perhaps one a month, will be dedicated to the citizens of Hamilton and the citizens of Hamilton County who are in great need due to costly and devastating health issues. I want to bring their plight to everyone’s attention, while at the same time giving thanks for my health and that of my family.

Section 11.43 (h-1) Texas Property Tax Code, passed by the 88th Legislature and made effective 9-1-2023, now requires each residential property with a homestead exemption be confirmed by each county appraisal district that the property still qualifies for the homestead exemption once every five years.

A future Hamilton County resident did not get a very welcome greeting when she came to town last week to check on progress of a home she’s building at Indian Gap.
