Violet R. Klauck, 81, of Gatesville and Jonesboro passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, Aug. 12, 2019.

Services were held Aug. 15 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial was in Jonesboro Cemetery.

Violet was born June 19, 1938, in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania, to Charles Koch and Clara DeLong Koch. She grew up and attended school in Schuylkill Haven, graduating with the class of 1956. She attended York College in York, Pennsylvania, and nursing school in Pottsville, Pennsylvania.

She was a case worker for the Department of Welfare for 12 years. In 2007, she moved to Texas to be closer to her youngest daughter. She loved playing computer games and her two cats, “Jo-Jo and Bob.” Most of all Violet loved her family and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Sharon Plath; and brothers Paul and Charlie Koch.

Survivors include daughters Heidi R. Huie and husband Dwayne of Jonesboro, Deborah Schrum and husband Gene; sons Darrell Klauck and wife Christine and Douglas Klauck and wife Carol; grandchildren Brandon, Cameron, Brooke, Mary, James, April, LeeAnna, Shannon, Jennifer, Michelle, Megan, Ashleigh, Tiffany, Amanda and Lillyana; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, June Jackson; and a brother, James Koch.
