Timothy Dan Tatum passed away in Tye on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021.

Tim was born on July 31, 1956 in Hico to the late George Ollie and Hilda Tatum.

He married Faye Mims in Hamilton and they had a son Brandon Chase.

Tim attended schools in Hamilton and Mineral Wells and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. After his military service, Tim worked various jobs and managed different restaurants and eventually operated a couple of restaurants of his own.

With the impacts from the Covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021, Tim retired from the restaurant business and slowed down a bit. He spent his time playing pool and video games every chance he got.

Tim made friends easily and had a big heart for helping others. He loved being around family and enjoyed the annual family campouts and Christmas gatherings over the years.

Tim had a strong faith in Christ and was very concerned about the current state of the country and the world and saw the end times drawing near.

Tim is survived by his son Brandon, and wife Angie and two grandsons, Braxton and Branson.

He is survived by sisters Dee Davis and husband Jerome, Kathy Culbertson and husband Les, Debbie Sauer and husband Jack, Georgia Arms and husband Larry, Vicki Truss and husband Travis.

He is also survived by brothers Herb Tatum and wife Betty, Larry Tatum and wife Alena, Ricky Tatum and wife Robin. He is also survived by sister-in-law Marian Tatum as well as many nieces and nephews and their children, all of whom he enjoyed and cared deeply about.

He will be missed by the family.

Pallbearers are Brandon Tatum, Braxton Vinson, Branson Tatum (honorary), Jack Sauer, Larry Arms, Travis Truss and Ricky Tatum.

In addition to his parents, Tim was also preceded in death by a brother John and a nephew Ty.

Services were held at Gentry’s Mill Cemetery Sunday, Dec. 12.
