Nancy Short

Nancy Kate Creacy Short, 78, of Hamilton passed away Jan. 22, 2023, surrounded by family.

Nancy was born Nov. 29, 1944, to O.W. “Doc” Creacy and Ocie Dyson of King in Coryell County. Nancy married Jearld Short on April 12, 1961. Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Short, and her parents, Doc and Ocie Creacy.

She is survived by her children, Montica “Montie” Cavett and husband Donald of Hamilton, Wilma Campbell of Fort Worth, Donna Garrett and husband Scott of Sonora and Jearld Short Jr. and wife Terry of Hamilton; a sister, Sue Schronk of Canyon Lake; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel followed by the service and burial in the Black Family Cemetery.
