Myron Kauitzsch

We are saddened to announce the passing of Myron Ray Kauitzsch, 67, a lifelong resident of Hamilton, on Jan. 12, 2024.

Myron was born to Raymond and Geraldine Kauitzsch, baptized and con- firmed at St. John Lutheran Church. Myron was a proud Eagle Scout and alumnus of Hamilton High School, Class of 1975. He served the community with dedication through his 25-year tenure at Hamilton Bank.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Kauitzsch.

Myron is survived by his loving mother, Geraldine Kauitzsch; his devoted son Sheldon Kauitzsch and wife Julie and grandkids Samual, Danielle and Amanda, great-grandkids Diego, Danica, Dylan, Joaquin and Viviana and great-great-granddaughter Katalaya; his beloved daughter Alicia Gutierrez and husband Jason along with his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Avery; his sister, Bonnie Nelson and husband Carl and nieces Melanie & Michelle;, and a legacy of friendship and community spirit in Hamilton.

Known for his big heart and open arms, Myron was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life – hunting, fishing and lending a hand to those in need. He had a knack for fixing anything and every thing needing repair, always ready to help.

His marriage to Bonnie Tischler blessed him with two wonderful children, Sheldon and Alicia, who meant the world to him.

Myron’s property was a welcoming haven, where friends and community members gathered for libations and celebrations, creating memories that will be cherished forever. His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit of generosity and camaraderie will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

As we bid farewell to Myron, we remember a man who was a part of the community and deeply committed to his hometown. He left us too soon, and his absence will be deeply felt. Rest in peace, Myron. You will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hamilton on Saturday, Jan. 20, at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the fami ly appreciates donations to St. John’s Lutheran Church, honoring Myron’s commitment to his community and faith.
