Services for Leonard Melvin Witte, 80, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 30, at First United Methodist Church Cleburne, 1300 W Westhill Dr. Burial will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park. Those wishing to pay their respects may also do so at Crosier Pearson Funeral Home Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Mr. Witte passed away Friday, June 23, 2023, in Cleburne.

He was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Indian Gap to Oscar H. and Bertha Hilda (Seider) Witte.

Leonard married Nancy Lee Cleveland on March 14, 1964, in Hamilton. He was a systems technician for Southwestern Bell (AT&T). He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cleburne. He spent many years fixing just about anything that broke in the church building. He enjoyed spending his days fixing things, building things, going to the farm, watching his grandkids in anything they did and Railroader games. He was known as Leonard to the kids on mission trips, loving husband, Dad and Papa. He was loved by all who met him and loved all he met.

Mr. Witte is survived by his wife, Nancy Witte of Cleburne; son Mike Witte and wife Amber of Cleburne; daughter Michelle Millsaps and husband Dan of Canyon Lake; grandchildren Logan Millsaps, Morgan Slotman, Jacob Witte, Dylan Witte and Grayson Witte; great-grandchildren Easton Millsaps, Ellie Millsaps and Esther Slotman; brothers, James Witte of Burleson, Marvin Witte of Hamilton and Larry Witte of Waco; and sister, Mary Finch of Granger.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Christmas in Action, your church building fund or favorite charity.
