Larry “Shorty” Hatley, 62, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020, in Comanche.

The family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Mr. Hatley was born March 16, 1958, in Dell, Arkansas, to Elzie and Methel (Isbell) Hatley. He was a United States Navy veteran.

On July 26, 2020, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Adcock in Comanche.

Shorty was devoted to his family. He was an outdoorsman and loved fishing at the lake and hunting. He loved all animals, especially his dog, Charlie, who he and Rhonda enjoyed taking to the lake.

Shorty was a safety coordinator employed by Comanche County Electric Co-op for 30- plus years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Methel Hatley; and seven siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Hatley of Comanche; brothers Tommy “Butch” Hatley of Hamilton, William “Sonny” Hatley of Blytheville, Arkansas, Jody McMinn of Franklin, Louisiana, Gerald Hatley of Biloxi, Mississippi, and Steven Duebuoy of Comanche; sisters Wanda Gilbert of Comanche, Nellie Spell of Buna, Faye Frair of Patterson, Louisiana, Peggy Moore of Colbert, Georgia, and Lesa Hatley; children Colt Harris and wife Brandy and Laci Patton and husband Ethan; several grandchildren; inlaws Harold and Laura Adcock of Comanche; sister-in-law, Michelle Stalnacker of Comanche; brothers-in-law, Kelly Adcock of Gustine and Rocky Adcock of Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
