Ginny Coker

Ginny Ruth Coker, 80, of Indian Gap passed away peacefully on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, in Hamilton.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 5, at Stacy-Wilkins Chapel in Goldthwaite. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Mills County.

Ginny was born in Columbia, South Carolina, Sept. 13 1943, to William E. and Ida Ruth (Jordan) Bodie. She married John Lee Coker in Columbia on Sept. 4, 1964.

She dedicated her life to her family and was a loving wife, mama and Nanny. She welcomed everyone with open arms and more than enough to eat! She chose early in life to serve God and remained faithful to that choice until the very end.

Survivors include her husband, John Lee Coker; children, Dennis Coker and Carla, Todd Coker and Bambi, Carlos Coker, Leslie Coker and Davina and Jay Coker; 16 grandchildren, Adam, Jennifer, Mia, Ryder, Cash, Brady, Carolina Ruth, Suzanna, Caleena, Carson, Landon, Lillie, Autumn, William, Garrett and Sydney; and a brother, William Bodie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Levi Coker.

Pallbearers were Dennis Coker, Todd Coker, Carlos Coker, Leslie Coker, Jay Coker and Jason Snow.
