Dale LeBlanc

Roger Dale LeBlanc, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully at his home on June 10, 2023, with his family by his side.

Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Riley Funeral Home with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery.

He always said his greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren. He leaves behind his wife Sherri; daughter Courtney Smith and husband Daniel, their children Emily, Grayson, Abigail, Luke and Easton; son Josiah and wife Emilie, their children Amelia, Samson, Autie, and Abram; son Seth and wife Jessica, their children Lincoln, Shepherd, Brooks and yet-to-arrive Olivia; and his four-legged best friend, Elizabeth.

Born Jan. 23, 1960, to parents Roger and Judy, Dale lived and grew up in Dayton. He had fond memories of his childhood. Dale spent countless hours at his beloved “Nannie’s” house, where he would have many adventures with his siblings Dawn, Hope and Rory and cousin Saul.

He was a machinist by trade. Dale enjoyed talking to people, sharing God’s love with others, telling interesting stories and helping people whenever he could.

He enjoyed fishing and cooking barbecue for his family, loved family get togethers, crawfish boils, going to sporting events of all of the kids and Salado family reunions.

He is also survived by his mother, Judy Norwood Melancon and step-dad JE; stepmother JoAnn LeBlanc; brothers Rory, Paul and Tad; sisters Dawn, Hope and Amy; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved deeply.

He will be loved and missed dearly by all.
