Affectionally known as “York” by his wife of 64 years, Charles Herbert York died on June 24, 2019.

Charles was born on July 3, 1932, in Fort Worth. John and Myrtle York were loving parents to Charles. He married his sweetheart, Jerry Sue Bledsoe, in 1954.

He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of Korean Conflict.

He was a graduate of North Texas State College in 1960. He was a resident of Dallas before retiring from a career in sales and moving to Hamilton with his wife Jerry Sue.

Charles was dedicated to serving at the Altar of the Episcopal Church for over 40 years and was a follower of Christ.

Charles is survived by his wife Jerry Sue; his children Stephen and Dolores York, Phillip and Alicia York and Mary York and Neale Fleishman; grandchildren and their spouses, Tracy and Gary McCoy, Jamie and Jordan Murphy, Megan and Andy Jacobsohn, Alyssa Jenyn Garicia-York, Jacob and Cecilia York and Phillip York Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; and countless others who called him friend.
