Angie Mary Graves Howell Cook of Hamilton passed into the arms of Jesus Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021, at her home.

Viewing will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Riley Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at First Baptist Church of Hamilton. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Angie was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Elida, New Mexico, to Nina Albright Graves and Alton Jarmen Graves.

She attended high school in Artesia, New Mexico. They moved to Goldsmith and then to Hamilton around 1966, Her dad was a “pumper” field operator for Phillips 66, and her mother took in laundry and ironing and was a homemaker.

Angie worked for The Texas State Highway Department for 26 years, and they raised Shelties for 40-plus years. Besides being a devoted wife and grandmother and friend to many, Angie served faithfully as a servant of the Lord and especially in the choir and kitchen at First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Luke Johnny Howell; and siblings Marvin J. Graves, Lawrence Alvin Graves and Imogene Graves; grandchildren Tamara (Tammy) Lynette Reid, Terry Lynn (Bubba) Reid Jr.; and great-grandchild, Evie Reid.

She is survived by her husband Donald Rae Cook of Hamilton; children Terry Luke Alton Howell and wife Tracy Annel Howell, Donna Lynn Reid and husband Terry Lynn Reid and Danny Rae Cook and wife Mary Elizabeth Cook; grandchildren Terry Don Howell, Zoe Howell, Garrett Luke Howell, Sasha Sweatt, Bobby Reed, Shay Paulette Reid Foster; great-grandchildren Diego Howell, Trevor Howell, Reena Howell, Keenan Howell, Gavin Luke Howell, Kierstin Howell, Micha Howell, Patrick Reed, Christian Scott Foster, Caleb Shayne Foster, Aiden Lee Owens Reid, Landon Reid, Lilly Breanne Hope Reid; a niece, Debbie Corcoran; nephew David Graves and wife Katy; and cousins Stacy Kottle, Kim Kottle and Tricia Kottle.
