Dear Editor,
Four or five weeks ago you had a write-up in your paper about 1952 girls championship basketball team and you had pictures of four women who said they were the last survivors, but they were wrong.
Thank you so much to everyone who donated water and Gatorade! We have received more than enough, so please hold off on any additional donations of these items. We are truly grateful for your generosity and support! No more donations needed at this time.

Have you ever heard the saying “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”?
In a book entitled On Borrowed Time: 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Could Come in 1988, Edgar C. Whisenant predicted that Christ would return to rapture His saints on Tuesday, September 13, 1988 at 11:00 A.M. Central Daylight Time.

It was a good day on Monday Nov. 22, as I came in the driveway, I watched a huge red tailed hawk fly deftly through the trees on the hunt for lunch. The beauty of the moment reminded me why I lived out here in the country.
Hamiltonians are no strangers to holiday traffic as Highways 281 and 36 back up at the first scent of cranberry sauce.
I had a friend once who was traveling from West Texas to somewhere east of here and passed through a town close to here.
The filing period for places on the March 1, 2022, Texas Primary ballot is under way until 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13.
