Wilma Loewe

Wilma Loewe, 80, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021, in Gatesville.

Funeral services were March 27 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville with Minister Jim Hall officiating. Burial was in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, near the Aleman community in Hamilton County.

Wilma was born Nov. 28, 1940, in Mansfield. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Gladys Hall Romans.

Wilma grew up in Mansfield and graduated in 1959 from Mansfield High School.

Huland Ray (Sonny) Stephens, Jr.

Huland Ray (Sonny) Stephens, Jr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2021, after a tough battle with cancer, with his loving wife BJ and son Slade by his side.

Viewing will be at Riley Funeral Home in Hamilton Wednesday through Friday. Funeral service will be at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamilton at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Pottsville following the funeral service.

Sonny was born June 2, 1954, in Fort Worth to Huland Ray and Lou Ella Gromatzky Stephens.

Tommy Berl Thompson

Tommy Berl Thompson, 85, of Hemphill passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, in Hemphill Care Center.

Tommy was born in Hamilton on Feb. 14, 1936, to Norman Birl Thompson and Melissa Ann Sellers Thompson. He worked as auditor for Texas, Nevada and Oklahoma Insurance Commissions for many years.

Tommy was a 16-year resident of Sabine County, having previously lived in Arlington, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
