The Jonesboro Eagles soared last week at the 1A UIL State Golf Tournament in Kingsland.
Sitting in fourth position entering the second and final day of the state competition, the Eagles maneuvered into medal contention, placing third overall with a team score of 766 behind only state champion Sterling City with a 749 and runner-up Roscoe Highland with a total score of 762.
