Feb. 20, 1951–Sept. 21, 2026
A lifelong Texan, Bonnie Ensor was born to Jack and Sue Davidson on February 20, 1951, in Fisher County. However, Three Rivers soon became her hometown. As a youth, Bonnie was very active in all areas of 4-H and FHA, played basketball and generally either participated in or supported all school activities. Showing steers at state-wide stock shows became an annual family tradition for the Davidsons.
It was at Abilene Christian College that Bonnie met Dennis Ensor. They taught school and Sunday school, managed rental property, and raised their sons Jeff and Jarod in Arlington until their boys convinced them to move to Hamilton to live the small-town life. That was a decision the family never regretted. There, Bonnie taught school and became a dyslexia therapist. When she retired, she continued to support the school and church that had meant so much to her children and grandchildren.
Wherever she lived, Bonnie was active in her church, excelled in her profession, and devoted herself to her family. Each chapter of her life brought her lifetime friends. Like her family, those friends were very precious to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sue; husband, Dennis; and grandson, J.D. Ensor. She is survived by sons Jeff and wife Sara, Jarod and wife Kelly; grandchildren Aubrey Ensor and Emma Ensor, Trapper Ensor and fiancée Kymbree Larance; sister Suzanne Christenson and husband Dale.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on October 3, 2026, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel, 402 W Main, Hamilton, Texas 76531.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to: Hamilton County Young Life, P.O. Box 12, Hamilton, TX 76531 or Outreach Book Ministry, P.O. Box 52, Hamilton, TX 76531.
