As of June 30, 2026, Hamilton County Sheriff Brad Boulton is temporarily suspended from office without pay by order of Presiding District Judge Dib Waldrip.
If found innocent of the charges during the upcoming October criminal hearings, Boulton would be awarded back pay. This order is the determination of a petition filed by Jonesboro resident ranch owner Chad Renfro on October 13, 2025.
