The west side of Gatesville’s historic downtown courthouse square was destroyed by fire late Monday afternoon, incinerating several historic buildngs that date back to the 1800s.
The Gatesville Messenger & Star Forum, Leaird’s Furniture Store and Freedom Bail Bonds were among businesses destroyed by the fire.
