Facing a deficit of $257,000, four Hamilton County commissioners approved the Hamilton County 202526 budget without the approval of County Judge James Yates at yesterday’s regular meeting.
“I don’t believe in deficit spending,” said Yates.
“The commissioners know about that. And I don’t want to draw from our reserve.”
