Hamilton City Council decided last week it will not likely be possible to open the Hamilton Municipal Pool this summer.
The 1938 pool was built by the Work Progress Administration. Volunteers have provided a few facelifts over the years but now the pool needs major repair, estimated at $1.5 million. It continues to be a sieve, sucking scarce city funds literally down the drain.
