After an exceptionally rainy moth, fire ant mounds could become more visible in grassy areas across our area, as the minuscule insects rebuild what water might have wiped out.

When storms dump rain, the water can collapse fire ant mounds, which prompts the little creatures to pull more soil from the top of lawns and begin anew.
