Kids aren’t reading for fun anymore. A survey of American 9- and 13-year-olds conducted in early 2020 by the National Assessment of Educational Progress reported that the number of kids who say they read for fun on a daily basis has dropped from a decade ago to the lowest levels since the mid-1980s.
