Good news has been received by the city of Hamilton as the highest monthly sales tax ever was received in February.
This payment was from sales in December as the state runs two months behind.
Of the 8.25 percent sales tax charged on items within the city, the State Comptroller sends 1.5 percent of the tax back to the city and .5 percent back to the county.
