No one attended two public hearings at the Hamilton City Council last Thursday at City Hall.
Second hearings on the budget and tax rate are not required by law but will be held Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
The proposed tax rate for the 2021-22 budget is $0.5653 per $100 valuation.
The 26-minute meeting began with a moment of silence for the families of servicemen killed in Afghanistan that day.
