Hamilton High School cosmetology students went to Austin Monday advocating to keep cosmetology and barbering licensed professions. If passed, HB 1705 filed Feb. 12 and now in committee would make Texas the only state in the nation to deregulate cosmetology. If passed, it would take effect Sept. 1.
