In May 2010, the Hamilton General Hospital Healthcare Foundation began a campaign to raise $350,000 to purchase a digital mammography machine for the Hamilton Healthcare System.
The machine was delivered and put into service in September 2011. Since then, it has served thousands of women in the early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
