It happened last Wednesday; the day I have been dreading.
The day I looked into my sweet Jamie’s eyes and did not see myself.
“What are you doing here?” he asked the wind.
“I came to see you!”
“Oh. OK.”
He turned away, walked to his room and climbed under the covers, his back to the door.
