Shive Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual fish fry fund-raiser Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Shive Fire Hall.
Serving will be 6 to 8 p.m. The meal will be by donation, and menu is fried catfish with all the trimmings and desserts.
Shive firemen report that 2018 has been a particularly expensive fire season with a major pump repair, ruined tires and excessive fuel bill.
