The Hamilton County Commissioners Court continued the county’s burn ban at their meeting on Tuesday due to the recent fires.
The Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department was again pushed to the limit on Sunday when eight fires erupted almost simultaneously within the county.
Joining the HVFD were other nearby fire departments to assist in extinguishing the fires ignited by lightning strikes.
