A new pair of shoes can give a child greater comfort, confidence and readiness for the days ahead. On Saturday, Sept. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m., the Hamilton Lions Club will host a First Blessing shoe event at First Baptist Church, 220 S. Bell St. in Hamilton.
