In a special session on Monday, the Hamilton Independent School District Board of Trustees approved Jennifer Zschiesche as the HISD Superintendent.
The board interviewed Zschiesche as the lone candidate in closed session.
The trustees then reconvened to announce the appointment of Zschiesche to the post.
She had served as HISD interim superintendent since July 2025.
