HOUSTON - Texans and history enthu - siasts are invited to attend the ovcial San Ja cinto Day Ceremony marking the 189th anni- versary of the Battle of San Jacinto - the de - cisive clash that secured Texas' independence from Mexico.
The ceremony will be Monday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the San Jacinto Monument, the towering symbol of Texas liberty.
