Budding photographer Devon Wardlaw brought home Best of Show in the animal category in the Texas 4-H State Photography Contest Junior Division this summer.
The 14-year-old captured the fastest moving bird on earth with its wings, which can beat more than 80 times per second, perfectly aimed upward and its hair-thin tongue sticking out.
While Devon holds county titles, this was his first state award.
