COVID-19 positive case numbers continue to rise as expected locally, regionally and statewide with reference labs across the state feeling the crunch that has resulted in major backlogs and significant delays in results.
“This is frustrating to all involved,” said Dr. Randy Lee, Hamilton County Health Authority.
“Our reference lab, CPL in Austin, reported a more than 50,000 test backlog on Friday.”
