Hamilton County Commissioners Court Tuesday morning enacted a burn ban to be in effect starting Friday, Oct. 14.
The ban restricts outdoor burning in unincorporated areas of the county.
“This is the time of year for campers, deer season and the winds picking up,” said Precinct 3 Commissioner Lloyd Huggins. “Fires can take off in an instant.”
