Two safety measures were enacted for Hamilton County at the Hamilton County Commissioners Court meeting on Tuesday.
First, a burn ban was made effective Aug. 11 for 90 days or until terminated by the court.
“There has been an uptake of calls for fire assistance,” said Precinct 1 Commissioner Johnny Wagner. “It is hard to believe how dry it’s become in the last few days.”
