After 52 ½ years as Hamilton’s florist, Anita Adams of Hamilton Floral and Gifts is officially retiring.
“It’s hard to give it up,” she said. “I’ve toyed with it for a while, but I wasn’t quite ready. Now, I think maybe it’s OK.”
Anita and her husband Jim purchased Hamilton Floral and Nursery on Highway 281 north of town in October 1972.
“Jim wanted to go into business for himself,” she said.
