When Kasandra Kae Martinez entered the world on May 24, 1999, at a whopping 3 pounds, 5 ounces, no one really knew if she would survive.
“I cried,” said her mom, Brandy. “She wasn’t due until the end of July.”
Today, Kasandra is four feet, one inch tall, weighing in at 58 pounds and about to celebrate her 25th birthday. She is a graduate of Hamilton High School, and her favorite friend is Elmo.
