Tril Keller Stratton

Trilba (Tril) Keller Stratton, 87, of Abilene, passed away March 9, 2022, in Abilene. Services were March 11 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, Abilene, with Dr. Jeff Reid of Pioneer Drive Baptist Church officiating, where she was a long-time member.

Tril was born to Jesse and Ruth Christopher on March 5, 1935, in Mertzon and grew up in Hamilton. Shortly after her marriage to Harold Keller in 1953, they were deployed to Germany and later moved to Venezuela, eventually retiring in Abilene after a long career with Sun Oil.

She was a mother, homemaker, artist, avid bridge player, longtime PEO sister and a real estate agent. She was known to host amazing dinner parties featuring her talent for cooking Alaskan seafood, which benefited many charities.

After the death of her long loved husband Harold, Tril married Bill Stratton in 2001, also of Sun Oil Co., who was a lifelong friend of she and her late husband, and began a new adventure traveling all over the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and her husbands, Harold Keller and Bill Stratton.

Tril is survived by her son, Britt and daughter-in-law Judy Keller of Sugar Land; daughter Cheryl Solberg of Grinnell, Kansas; stepdaughter Shelly Dillin of Dallas; stepson Gary Stratton of College Station; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

“See you later Alligator…After while Crocodile.”
