Stanley Kopp

Stanley Earl Kopp entered into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, March 19, 2019.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 22, at Zion Lutheran Church in Houston, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Mr. Kopp was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Indian Gap to Otto and Anita Lange Kopp. He was a devout Christian from birth, being baptized into God’s holy family on Dec. 31, 1935. His sponsors were Pauline Kopp and Melvin Lange. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church on April 10, 1949, and graduated from Pottsville High School in 1953.

After graduation, Stanley moved to Houston and had a long career that included work with Pan American Oil Co., Brown and Root and Geodata. He was also in the National Guard.

On Aug. 26, 1972, he married Jannie Florence Clark. In 1981, they were blessed with three children, Wanda, Tina and Roger. In 1997, they were blessed with another child, Joshua.

He was a good husband, father, brother, son and uncle, always remembering and acknowledging birthdays and other events in our lives. He will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jannie Kopp; parents Otto and Anita Kopp; and nephew John Kopp.

Survivors include brother Larry Kopp and wife Sue; nephew Jerald Kopp and wife Amy and children Kayla and husband Ryan Orton, and Allison Kopp, Traci Kopp and children Taylor and Jenna Kopp; grandchildren Candace Lee and husband Eric and Erica Walters; a great-grandchild, Leliana Lee; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
