FRESH LOOK- The flower pots on the square have a new look thanks to Keep Hamilton Beautiful, Hamilton County Master Gardeners, City of Hamilton and Dig This! Staff Photo

The flower pots around the square were filled with beautiful flowers last week thanks to a partnership between Keep Hamilton Beautiful, Hamilton County Master Gardeners, the City of Hamilton, and Dig This!

Dig This! planted red and yellow yuccas, Carolina jessamine rosemary and ice plants, and cleared the sidewalks of grass and debris in preparation for the Labor Day weekend festivities.

The City of Hamilton Public Works Department will water the flowers to keep them looking beautiful year-round.

“Working together we are able to enhance the beauty of our downtown for residents and visitors and maintain our pride and appreciation in what we have,” said Hamilton Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Sarah Bauman.

Keep Hamilton Beautiful is a volunteer-based committee organized under the Hamilton EDC. The committee is in place to plan and organize events and projects to accomplish goals for education, beautification, and a clean community.

Keep Hamilton Beautiful coordinates public and private sector organizations and individuals who are similarly committed to our mission... to improve the quality of life and appearance of our community.
