She graduated in May of 1963 with a degree in Business Education.

On June 14, 1963, she married James Lyle Kenton, and three days later they moved to San Antonio, where she accepted a position as a middle school teacher at Eisenhower Middle School. She worked as a teacher for four months before becoming pregnant with Kelly Lynn.

Through the years, Jim and Sheron moved to Memphis, Richardson, Placentia, California, and Plano before finally retiring to Hamilton.

She enjoyed playing cards and tennis and camping with family and friends. While living in Plano, she worked for ServiceMaster, which later became NorthStar Paper Co., where she was the office manager for 18 years.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a smart, independent woman who loved and supported her husband in all his endeavors and was a strong partner with him in his career.
