Sharon Bagwell

Sharon Lee Bagwell, 73, of Hamilton joined her beloved James in heaven on Tuesday, June 22, 2021.

Per her wishes, she was cremated and there will be no memorial service.

Sharon, affectionally known as “Boney,” was born Sept. 1, 1942, in Oklahoma to Frank Clanton and Maudie Franklin.

On Dec. 25, 1959, she married her soulmate, James Lynn Bagwell, a loving and blessed marriage of 54 years. Sharon and James owned and operated Bagwell Meat’s in Rendon and Hamilton and Bagwell’s Deer Processing in Hamilton, working side by side until retiring in 2004. Sharon then went to work for a nursing home in Hamilton where she was able to care for her mother-in-law.

Sharon was simply the “best,” a loving and devoted wife, mom and Boney.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Jeffrey Lynn Bagwell; great-grandson Cason Branham Piepkorn and brother Frankie Don Clanton.

Survivors include her daughter Christie Stewart and husband Greg; son Cody Bagwell; bonus daughter Kiesha; grandchildren Heather Shull and husband Ryan, Clay and Tyler Stewart, Brittaney Boatwright, Blake Whitehead, Casey Bagwell and Payton and Caden Bagwell; great-grandchildren Baily and Bethany Boatwright, Cutter and Colbie Shull and River and Rowdy Bagwell; sister Diana Edgmon and husband Terry; brother-in-law Robert Bagwell and wife Linda; sister-in-law Nancy Massengale and several nieces and nephews.

“May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back: May the sun shine warm upon your face: The rains fall softly upon your fields: And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Hamilton Hospital and Solaris Hospice.
