Russell Pruett, 59, of the Pearl community passed away Sept. 12, 2021, at his home.

Celebration of life services will be held in the near future at the Pearl Community Fellowship Church.

Russell was born July 5, 1962, in Waxahachie to William Glenn Pruett and Kay Herman Pruett. He spent his early years in the Dallas area before the family moved to Gatesville in 1986. Russell worked as a carpenter, “jack of all trades” and also helped in the family’s antique business. He loved sports, all kinds of music, animals, working with plants and selling and visiting with people at markets. Russell loved the Pearl Community and enjoyed his time working at the Pearl Bluegrass Festival. He was a member of Pearl Community Fellowship Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jake; father Glenn; and grandparents Glenn and Laveail Herrman.

Survivors include his beloved dog Pearl; wife Michelle Jones; daughter Sydnee Lee Browder; son Philip Jones; mother Kay Herrman Pruett; aunt and uncle Glennyth and Ronald Medart; and other friends and relatives including his friend Linda Ray.

Memorials may be sent to the Pearl Cottage Charity Book Store, 1771 CR 152, Purmela, 76566.
