Rose Krupala

Rose Lillian Krupala, 90, of Hamilton passed away Sept. 25, 2022.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.

Rose was born July 19, 1932, near Abernathy to Fred and Mary Cervenka Kveton at their home.

She grew up picking cotton in West Texas and graduated from New Deal School in 1949. Later she then took a course on typewriting and shorthand in Lubbock and worked for the Veterans Administration.

She married George Elgin Krupala on June 5, 1954, in Lubbock, and had one child, Mary Krupala Hodge. They moved to Hamilton in 1964, where she was a homemaker and a volunteer for the Hamilton area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George of 67 years; five siblings, two sisters and their husbands, Angelina and Ray Provine, Mary and Oliver Jackson and three brothers, George and Henry Kveton and John and his wife Jean Kveton.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Hodge and husband Jon Marc Hodge; four grandchildren, Joshua Hodge and wife Alejanda, Kimberly Hodge, Cynthia Hodge and her husband Brent Fivecoat and Michael Hodge; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Lucile and Dorothy Kveton.
