Otis Eugene Tyson, 89, of Hamilton died Dec. 25, 2018, at his home.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 29, in Live Oak Cemetery near Hamilton. Arrangements were under the direction of Sneed Funeral Chapel, Lampasas.

Mr. Tyson was born Nov. 13, 1929, in Hamilton County to Elbert Tyson and Mary Ella Kissell. He was a lineman for Hamilton Electric Co-op, retiring after 40 years. He served his country in the Korean War in the US Army.

He was preceded in death by brothers J.W. Tyson and Albert Tyson and sisters Elva Hill, Violet Kemp and Frances Keller.

Survivors include his wife, Annie; sons Otis Tyson Jr. and Jim Elbert Tyson; daughters Sharon Williams and husband Charles, Connie Wood and husband Charles and Nancy Wier and husband Doug; sister Rosella Roberson; 12 grandchildren including Bradley Tyson, who lived in the Tyson home from infancy; and six great-grandchildren.
