Olon R. Crockett, 83, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, in Hamilton.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, Feb. 28, in San Saba Cemetery with John Alsbrooks officiating.

Olon was born Aug. 30, 1935, in San Saba, to Clell and Lora May (Johnson) Crockett. He graduated from San Saba High School. He worked for RB Bagleys and Sons for 40-plus years until his retirement, running the pecan house in Hamilton.

He married the love of his life Dorothy Vigil on Jan. 16, 1957, in Fort Worth. They made their home in Hamilton.

Olon loved deer hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Crockett of Hamilton; two sons, Randy Crockett and Bobby Crockett, both of Hamilton; grandchildren Jesica Phillips and husband Jeremy of Hamilton, LaDaina and husband Josh Pettett of Rockwall and Wesley and Casey Akins of Sherman; four great-grandchildren; two nieces; and a brother, Roger Crockett of San Saba.

Blaylock Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
