Nettie Sue Graves

Nettie Sue (Stamp) Graves was born to this world Jan. 3, 1929 and transitioned to her true home in Heaven on Sept. 24, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband Guy G. Graves Jr. They were married from May 1948 to October 1985.

Surviving children include: Guy Garland Graves (son) and Rebecca ‘Becky’ Lynn Hughes (daughter) and John A. Hughes (son-in-law); grandchildren Pamela (Hughes) Howie and Sheri (Hughes) Banwart, Steven Howie and Greg Banwart; great grandchildren Addison Howie, Trent Howie, Raegan Banwart, Hadley Banwart, Auburn Banwart Ronnie Graves (brother-in-law) and step-grandchildren Larry Johnson, Michael Johnson and Marcia (Johnson) Dyer.

Sue graduated from Trimble Technical High School Fort Worth, Texas May 1946 and attended North Texas Agriculture College (now University of Texas - Arlington) Arlington, Texas 1946 – 1948 and worked in a variety of positions including as sole proprietor for The Hobby House, in ticket sales and greeter at the Tarrant County Convention Center and Arlington Convention Center. She also worked in the retail store for the Texas Rangers and as a volunteer with guest relations at the ballpark.
