Mary Gentry

Mary Stouder Gentry, 77, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, in Hamilton County.

Graveside services were held Monday, Nov. 12, at Nocona Cemetery in Nocona. Comanche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gentry was born Feb. 2, 1941, in Nocona to Bill and Maybelle (Coker) Stouder.

On June 15, 1957, she was united in marriage to Elvin Gentry in Nocona. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was never happier than when taking care of her home and family. She was a member of the church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Maybelle Stouder; two brothers, Bob Stouder and Clinton Stouder; a sister, Sue Shelton; and a great-grandson, Gunner Pearson.

Survivors include her husband, Elvin Gentry of Hamilton County; three sons, Lonnie Gentry and wife Lynne of Dallas, Carey Gentry and wife Judy of Granbury and Tim Gentry and wife Melissa of Hamilton; six grandchildren, Todd, Megan, Eric, Cara, Tyler and Luke; and eight great-grandchildren.
