Marcus “Mark” Ray Ebeling, 47, unexpectedly went to be with the Lord Aug. 12, 2021, in Stephenville.

A memorial service honoring Mark’s life was held at the Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin Monday, Aug. 16, with a lunch afterward at the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Dublin. Officiant was one of Mark’s best friends, Rude Cortez of Dublin.

Mark was born Sept. 1, 1973, in Hamilton to Donna Myrlene (Harris) Byrd and Eddie Ray Ebeling.

He graduated high school and began working in the manufacturing industry where he worked for several local manufacturing companies including Appleton, Nortons, FMC and Schrieber throughout the years.

He became a truck driver in 1999 and drove for local milk companies including Reynold’s Nationwide and Western Dairy Transport.

He worked for WDT (Western Dairy Transport) in Stephenville for 19 years.

He was an avid gun lover, hunter and proud Texas redneck.

Mark took great pride in his two daughters, Jessica and Kati, and loved doing anything that involved them. He was a joking, fun-loving man who loved listening to country music and being with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Odie Eddie Ebeling, Obey James Harris and Dorothy Nell Harris.

Mark is survived by his daughters, Jessica Ebeling of Dublin and Kati Ebeling of Corsicana; parents Donna Myrlene (Harris) Byrd of Dublin and Eddie Ray Ebeling of Hamilton; grandmother Lila Mae Ebeling of Hamilton; sister, Rebecca Hurteau of De Leon; nephew Dustin Hurteau of Stephenville; niece Desiree Ross and husband James and great-nieces Kynleigh, Mikaela, and Haidyn Ross, all of Beaver, Oklahoma; his canine co-pilot Koda; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
